BuxTopaz is a new "bux" site that has recently launched and will be added moved from the Ongoing Investigations List to the Scam List. See "cons" section for more info..  Here are the pros and cons of this site:

PROS:

1. Forum - This site does have a forum. Forums are great for communication between members and staff. Members can post payment proofs, get support, and stay up to date on changes made to the site. You can find their forum here:

http://buxtopaz.com/forum/

2. Paying - They are a new site, so there wont be many but they are paying. Payment proofs can be found on the forum. You can view those proofs here:

http://buxtopaz.com/forum/main_forum.php?cat=6

3. All Countries Accepted - So far there are no restrictions and all can join and earn from this site. Will update if this changes.

4. Secondary Password & Pin- You have the option of creating a secondary password to protect your account. Which is highly recommended that you use this option.

After you join you will also be required to create a cashout pin. Make sure it is different too. Don't be a fool and use your bank account pin that you use for your personal bank account. Create a unique 4 digit pin and write it down somewhere if need be.

5. DDoS Protection - Site claims it is protected from DDoS attacks (more info). Which is a big threat to PTC sites. Such protection can be very expensive but these days it is needed to protect the site from possible threats and downtime.

CONS:

1. Lost Investments - Several have come forward and said they are not getting paid, not receiving support, and they have been banned from the site. Most of these users are those that were required to invest back into the site again after the owner claimed paypal was holding their payment that was sent to buxtopaz. While we can't confirm what really is going on between the admin and these members, it however clear that several have lost their investments. See comment section for more info.

2. Forging PayPal Screenshots - This is the main reason why they are now on the scam list. I don't care if the admin blurs out personal info but when your alter a screen shot to change something that is not true, then that is where I see this site being deceiving and not being honest about what is going on.

To make a long story short, the admin claimed paypal was holding funds from investments sent in by members. The admin posted a screen shot on the forum to show these holds. Most of us didn't catch it (at least I didn't) till someone pointed out that the paypal screen shot has been photoshopped. Full details can be seen here:

http://www.emoneyspace.com/forum/index.php?topic=187042.msg1890998#msg1890998

If you look closely at this [IMG], you will find that "verified" has been added to the image and that it should say "Verified" with a hyperlink. You wont find that. Also the image is badly manipulated and cut and pasted together. Also the admin's account at paypal is not verified.

3. New Site - We do not recommend investing or buying upgrades on new sites. For at least 6 months, if not a year. If you can't wait that long, at least test and get paid first before you decide to invest.

The main reason why we see this as a downside is due to the large number of new sites that go through many sudden changes during their first 6 months. Changes anywhere from rates per click, payment processor issues (paypal limitations), and payment wait times. New sites notorious for changing their terms. Why we do not recommend investing on new sites.

4. A "Bux" Site - This type of ptc has a very high fail rate. Most "bux" sites go scam under 6 months, if not within a year. Most rely on upgrades and rental purchases rather than actual advertisers. A typical "bux" site will show fixed/self-sponsored ads, sell rentals, and have a higher rate per click. This type of business model is not very successful and unsustainable, which is probably why most "bux" sites fail.

5. Whois Private - Hidden ownership in site registration. However the owner did introduce himself on the forum.
